Bringing an authentic Spanish experience to Ancoats, Maricarmen is an inviting tapas bar on Great Ancoats Street offering delicious, traditional Spanish dishes. All their Tapas are £3 per dish, and you don’t even need to order! The friendly staff bring around Tapas boards full of their delicious small plates and you take whichever you like. The dishes range from patatas bravas, garlic prawns, croquettes, pork cheek, huevos rotos (thin crispy potato with a friend egg) to Spanish soup and many, many more – all using high quality ingredients. The vibe in there is great and if you go at the right time, the authentic atmosphere is added to by live Spanish music!
Ancoats Deli is a warm and welcoming hidden gem on Murray Street, just off Cutting Room Square, with sandwiches, salads and charcuterie… Aswell as a range of beers, well-curated wine shelves, lager on tap and a fabulous spritz menu! In addition, there’s a fully stocked pantry of high quality, unusual groceries including proper pasta, tins of good tomatoes and peppers, hot sauces from Korea, pickles - all the stuff you might need for an Ancoats supper at home! It’s gorgeously decorated inside with cosy seating areas and has a lovely courtyard for the warmer weather! Open Monday to Tuesday from 8am to 9pm, Wednesday to Saturday from 8am to 11pm, and Sunday from 8am to 9pm - Ancoats Deli is ready to welcome you to grab a quick bite for lunch or stay all evening drinking wine with a charcuterie board, or even get some cool groceries! Indian Affair has added just what Ancoats was missing from its dining scene! After their first branch on Mosley Street in central Manchester quickly gained a loyal following, American Pies has now expanded to a new location in Ancoats, bringing their beloved Chicago-style deep-dish pizza tour vibrant neighbourhood! Inspired by iconic Chicago pizzerias like Pequod’s, Lou Malnati’s, and Giordano’s, American Pies has mastered the art of indulgence with their deep-dish pizza pies. Each pizza boasts a garlic butter parmesan crust, a rustic nine-ingredient marinara, and an absurd amount of mozzarella for a truly over-the-top experience.
