History

Clarence Arcade is located on Stamford Street in the heart of Ashton-under-Lyne; orignally built in 1894 as a Victorian Shopping Arcade on the main high street. The building has gone a full and extensive refurbishment; juxtaposing the best of the old with the best of the new to provide modern flexible managed workspace; establishing a vibrant community of businesses in the heart of a resurgent town.

Character

Through retaining the traditional ornate style of its Victorian heritage with glazed brick walls, ballustrades and glass roof, the building oozes an individual character. The suites are designed to a high specification, providing open & contemporary office space with unparalleled levels of natural light that pour into the building through its many windows.

We provide all the elements you would expect of a 21st Century workspace; superfast dedicated internet connections, plug and play phones, reception services, recycling and much, much more.

Simplicity

One agreement covers it all and you can be in within days if you need. All your utilities; electricity, water, heating and temperature control are included, so there are no additional bills to deal with or extra cost to be incurred. We can also provide furniture, IT and telephones should you need them.

The building has been designed to give you the flexibility to increase or decrease your space as your business needs. Built on a great a level of service and dedication to our clients, despite how long you commit for we hope that you’ll want to stay with us long term.

Design

Our architects have carefully considered both the visual design of Clarence Arcade and how the spaces function. We believe that if you spend the majority of your time here, the environment needs to be stimulating and optimised for you and your team, while creating the right impression for your clients.

Sustainability

We are committed to our environmental responsibilities wherever possible. Sensor activated low energy lighting and heat recovery units have been installed. On site bike storage and showers are provided to encourage greener transport, and waste collections are source separated for recycling.

Room & space hire

In addition to your office space, you also have full use of the extensive conference room and meeting rooms  at the Clarence Arcade and its sister site, Jactin House. The reception is professionally staffed in anticipation for you and your guests arrival, a fully maintained kitchen, roof terrace and communal lounge.

Clarence Arcade offers affordable serviced office accommodation in Manchester with transparent terms and no hidden charges. We offer a package of facilities and services that can be tailored to suit your business needs as and when they change. It means that even if your business needs are flexible, you can rely on consistently great facilities.

Room & space hire

The building has 24 hour access. Reception & switchboard are staffed Monday to Friday 08:45 to 17:15 hrs.

Postal services

Franking is charged at cost plus 20% (to cover collection and franking expenses). Mail should be received by 15:00 hrs for franking and same day posting.

Car parking

Secure Car Parking provided from £60 per month from our secure parking facility on Jersey Street, adjacent to the building. The car park is monitored using CCTV cameras.

Office keys & fobs

Two keys and two fobs are supplied per office. Additional or replacement keys and/or fobs £40.

Telecoms

  • Advanced VOIP system with CAT6 structured cabling to offices and meeting rooms.
  • A fully personalised telephone answering service in the company name.
  • Call management system providing monthly itemised billing (if requested).

Voice & data call rates / discounts

We have an exclusive link up with Steelcase Furniture and can accommodate tenants for a monthly charge of £60 per person. This includes a desk and chair and can be calibrated to your specific layout requirements. Items such as storage and soft furniture are also available for rental.
