01 August 2017 COLONY Co-Working Space Opens

A new co-working space aimed at start-ups and freelancers is launching in Ancoats.
COLONY, which wants to establish this up and coming area of Manchester as a business destination by providing workspace for the new influx of local residents, is brand new to the city.

The space has been created having researched the needs of young, growing businesses.
It will include designed focus zones, collaboration zones, meeting areas, a screening room, modern industrial kitchen, private phone booths, hanging chairs and posture tables – for a flexible and modern way of working.

COLONY aims to promote the stimulation of ideas which is achieved via interaction with the environment, and sociability between members in their carefully designed workplace.
COLONY is situated in Jactin House, which was built in 1881 to provide temporary accommodation to men working in the neighbouring mills.
